Rosemont - Toi et moi
Equally rough and charming, dangerous yet fun. The Point is a no-frills stripped down and honest section of Montreal’s South West where people don’t have front yards. Separated from the uptown yuppies by a poisoned canal that once housed the hub of Canada’s manufacturing base. The residents drive fast and menacingly down rue Centre, and you might get mauled a pit bull on a thin leash loosely held by heavily tattooed local. But you can still get a killer poutine and have a deep conversation with the owner of the local Dep. Legend has it Louis Cyr once patrolled these streets in his constable days.
An art print on paper by illustrator Jason Wasserman. Part of the Montreal Neighbourhood Series. A deep and dirty dive into the architecture and citizens of the great city of Montreal.
This unique series of posters is executed in the artist’s signature bold black and white style. Exquisitely detailed and ethically sourced from a 100% hand-drawn illustration that you can stare at for hours, this drawing is absolutely littered with Easter eggs. Inspired by the unsung heroes of Montreal, the image is remixed through the lens of vintage comic book cover art, with a unique vocabulary of original typography and graphics.
